A-level Results

 

JIS students achieved a 98.4% pass rate at A-level. 32.5% of total entries, which include the August entry programme and the January Fast Track, were awarded an A grade; 81.2% were graded A to C and the overall pass rate (A to E) was 98.4%. There were some excellent performances in many subjects; percentages of As or Bs were as follows: Mathematics 73%;  Further Mathematics, Music and German 100% ; Chemistry 74%; Physics 55%; Biology 66% Accounting 60%; English 64%; Geography 56%; Psychology 52%.  The number of entries from JIS has increased by over 300% since 2005.

 

At AS level the overall pass rate was 90.3% with very good performances in many subjects.

 

GCSE Results

 

JIS students achieved 36.5% A or A* grades at IGCSE and GCSE. Taking IGCSE results alone they achieved over 40% A and A* grades. Pupils in Year 9 who took early GCSE science modules achieved 40.6% As and A*s.

 

The overall pass rate was 82.3% (A* to C). There were some excellent performances in many subjects: cumulative percentages of A*s, As and Bs were as follows: English Literature (79%); Foreign Language Malay (75%); French (82%); Spanish 100%; Mathematics (66%); Statistics (100%); Economics (67.9%); Chinese (100%); Design Technology (53%); Coordinated Science (51%); Music (50%).
