A-level Results

Jerudong International School students achieved a 98.3% pass rate in the recent A-level examinations.

32.9% of the passes were at A grade, 61.2% at A or B and 81.0% at A, B or C.  These results are very pleasing, particularly since we had a 77% increase in the size of the A-level year this year. The results are a testimony to the hard work of students and teachers.

There are many highlights. The proportion of As and Bs in various subjects is as follows: Mathematics (81%), Chemistry (60%), English Literature (69%), French (66%), Accounting (100%), Business Studies (64%), Further Maths (100%), Economics (70%) and Psychology (61%). In Bahasa Melayu O-level, 69% of students gained a C grade or above.

At AS level there was a pass rate of 90.5%, up six percent on last year.

Of our 81 June graduates, 46 have university places in Australia (3), Brunei (4), Canada (5), Malaysia (6), Netherlands (1), UK (26) and the USA (1). The applications of 34 students are pending, predominantly for Australia, Malaysia and New Zealand where the majority of applications are made post A-level. Courses in these countries commence in February-March.
